OVERNIGHT/UNDERCOVER (2026)
OVERNIGHT/UNDERCOVER is a fictional, archetypal exploration of fractured identity and feminine power. The album unfolds through four recurring figures: The Girl with the Jet Black Hair, The Dominatrix, The Night Empress, and The Renegade. Each appears as a shifting aspect of a single consciousness.
Set within a stylized nocturnal universe shaped by erotic labor, physical discipline, and shifting hierarchies, the work moves through environments where bodies are staged, watched, trained, and desired.
Drawing from pulp cinema and mythic narrative logic, the album constructs a heightened world in which control and vulnerability exchange places. Encounters become tests of endurance and autonomy. Identity fractures under pressure and reforms through confrontation.
With OVERNIGHT/UNDERCOVER, Rezanejad continues her exploration of performance as a site where intimacy, power, and self-invention intersect.
